A MEMBER of the public caused confusion for the police after mistaking Marks Tey for Marseille.
On Saturday, British Transport Police officers were deployed to Marks Tey Station.
However en-route, they were stood down after a change in location of the incident.
The actual location was Marseille in France, nearly 800 miles from Colchester.
