MORE than 200 people had their portrait taken in black and white for a community charity project.

Dozens of residents from Manningtree, Mistley, Lawford, Brantham and Bradfield posed to have their pictures taken for a project called Faces of Manningtree.

Organiser Debbie Burrows, of Oxford Road, Manningtree, took the images, which will be used for an exhibition to raise money for charity.

For the project volunteers were photographed in Estuary Wine Bar, in High Street, and the Ark, in Brantham.

Debbie said she thinks she photographed more than 200 faces in total.

She said: “It was a real success and I still gave a few private shoots and want to arrange another photoshoot in the Ark.

“People loved it and really pulled the community together with both old and new residents.”

She thanked everyone who helped with the project.

“What amazing and beautiful people live in our area,” she added.
