A parish council held a Christmas meal for its elderly residents.
Heybridge Parish Council held a senior citizens Christmas lunch at the Plantation Hall.
The two course lunch included a few games of bingo and festive drinks.
Guests were kept entertained by young musician Archie Gudgeon Jacks who sang Christmas carols.
A spokesman said: “Chairman Richard Perry was in the kitchen cooking and he extends his thanks to Carey Martin and Carole Rose for all their assistance in ensuring the meals went out hot and on time.
“The council would like to thank all the volunteers and staff who went the extra mile on the day.
“Extended thanks go to Arrows taxis for transporting the guests to and from the event free of charge.
“Without them many guests would not have been able to attend.”
