Snow is causing traffic problems across the Maldon district.
Police advised people to avoid Market Hill in Maldon as it is "getting to a point it will be just about impossible to get up."
But Essex Police has said it will close the road as it is now dangerous in both directions.
There have also been reports of snow drifts in Bradwell on Sea and St Lawrence.
*UPDATE* Further to this, we are looking to attend and close Market Hill completely. If you are travelling you will need to take an alternative route. It is now dangerous in both directions. https://t.co/1PidhF9Pmb
