A MAN who was arrested in Maldon high street has been charged with a string of burglary offences including three in the Maldon district.
Landscape gardener Kenny Hughes, 25, was arrested in Maldon High Street yesterday lunchtime.
He has been charged with burglary at a house in Lower Burnham Road, Purleigh sometime on November 6 and 7 where jewellery was stolen, burglary at a house in Post Office Road, Woodham Mortimer, on November 8 where an air rifle was stolen, and burglary at house in Lower Burnham Road, Purleigh, sometime between November 6 and November 7 where three shotguns and a large sum of cash was stolen.
Hughes, from Wickford, was remanded in custody to appear before Basildon Magistrates Court this morning.
