A date has been set for an appeal hearing into Lidl’s rejected proposal for a Maldon store.
The supermarket’s original plan was rejected late last year.
A hearing by the Planning Inspectorate is due to be held at the Maldon District Council offices in Princes Road, Maldon, on January 12 at 10am.
The district council must serve notice of arrangements to all interested parties no later than two weeks before the opening of the hearing.
The planning inspector is expected to visit the proposed development site, at the corner of Station Road, either during or at the end of the hearing.
Following its rejected plan, Lidl submitted a fresh plan in June and this is currently open to public consultation.
