The future is looking bright for Lidl after it got the thumbs up for its “more harmonious” store design.
The discount supermarket chain’s first planning application for land at the corner of Station Road, Maldon, was blocked by Maldon District Council late last year.
It was rejected on the grounds that the store was of an “alien design”.
However, in response to Lidl’s latest plan, submitted in June this year, the council has reacted positively.
A decision is due by October 5.
