The South Cumbria and Lancashire region has administered the fourth highest percentage of Covid-19 vaccines to people aged 80 and over in the country.

As of January 17, figures from NHS England reveal that 75.7% of people in South Cumbria and Lancashire aged 80 and over had received their first dose of the vaccine, totalling to 70,027 people.

Just one position below is the North Cumbria and North East region where 114,117 people have been given their first dose, which is 70.8% of those aged 80 and over.

Out of the 42 sub-regions in England, Gloucestershire has ranked first, vaccinating 85.3% of people aged 80 and over.
