A 20-year-old man has appeared in court over the fatal stabbing of a father and two other serious attacks in north-west London.
Amine Laouar was charged with the murder of 48-year-old delivery driver Leon Street, who was fatally stabbed on January 11 in Neasden, close to where he lived with his fiancee.
Police and paramedics were called to the scene in Neasden Lane North just after 9.30pm but could not save Mr Street, who was a father and step-grandfather.
Laouar appeared at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Friday, wearing a grey hoodie.
He spoke only to confirm his name and details during the approximately three-minute hearing, looking towards his family in the public gallery as he was brought in.
Laouar is also charged with wounding with intent against a 47-year-old man who police said was stabbed around 10 minutes before the attack on Mr Street.
He faces a third further charge of attempted murder of a 32-year-old man in Neasden Lane North on January 17, less than a week after Mr Street’s fatal stabbing.
Chair magistrate Mervyn Mandell remanded Laouar, of Oxford Place, Brent, north-west London, into custody to appear at the Old Bailey on January 26.
