Caravan thieves, vandals and violent incidents have been reported throughout Maldon District in the last week.

Areas across Maldon including Althorne, Burnham, Mayland, Purleigh and Wickham Bishops have all had incidents happen.

This list was compiled from the reports put together by the Maldon District Neighbourhood Watch.

Here's all the incidents, and when they were reported and where they happened since the end of February.

ALTHORNE

February 27, The Street: A suspect filled up with £65.45 of petrol and left without paying.

March 2, West Avenue: An unknown suspect attempted to use a handheld angle grinder to cut through the wheel lock on a caravan parked on a person's driveway.

The man was described as appearing to be drunk, before driving off in a transit van.

March 2, North Drive: A suspect was spotted trying to steal a Swift Conquerer caravan.

A report from Essex Police added: "It appears the suspect has used an angle grinder to try to cut off the lock over the towing hitch and has also used the grinder on the wheel brace.

"Suspect had also put up the jacks at the back in readiness for removing the caravan."

March 1, West Avenue: A group of suspects, unknown in number entered a victim's outbuilding which stores his caravan.

The victim said there was a transit van and a man posing as a builder equipped with a cordless cutting tool.

BURNHAM

March 3, Marsh Road: A group of suspects attempted to enter a victim's shed and gained entry to two sheds.

The group searched through the area, however, they took nothing.

The suspects also attempted to enter the victim's house, causing a crack in the their window, however they did not get in.

March 3, Springfield Industrial Estate, Springfield Road: Thieves smashed through a glass door and stole property from the unit inside the industrial estate.

GREAT TOTHAM

February 27, Captainswood Road: A group of unknown suspects removed the locks to a stable and removed a Ifor William horse 510 trailer from the stables.

They towed the trailer through the mud away from the site.

February 27, Staplers Heath: Suspects attempted to break through the rear door of a resident's home.

They appeared to have taken nothing before they were disturbed and fled the scene.

HEYBRIDGE

February 26, Hall Road: Suspect unknown has stolen front and rear index plates from victims grey Audi index OV52 UXE by pulling the plates from the vehicle by means unknown.

March 3, Limbourne Drive: Suspect unknown has gained entry into the victims insecure blue Ford Focus.

No damage caused, nothing stolen.

March 3, Limbourne Drive: Suspect unknown has gained entry into the victim’s insecure white Isuzu truck.

No damage caused, nothing stolen.

February 28, Wood Road: Suspect unknown has squirted coffee over the victim’s windows and front door by unknown means.

MALDON

February 25, Mundon Road: Suspect unknown has removed and stolen cash from victim’s purse.

February 25, Mundon Road: Suspect unknown using means unknown has removed and stolen cash from victims home.

February 26, Fullbridge: Suspect on two different days and using two different vehicles with the same index plate removed fuel from the location and made off without attempting to pay.

First vehicle silver Vauxhall Vectra 2nd vehicle cream Mercedes.

February 27, Highlands Drive: Suspect unknown has gained entry via the front door.

Suspect has stolen victim’s black Ford Kuga index EF11 FON and also stolen a handbag containing cards and glasses.

February 27, Spital Road: Suspect unknown has removed the front index plate from silver Ford Focus index GN05 KFE.

Suspect has also tried to remove the rear index plate but has snapped it in half in the process.

February 17, Butt Lane: Suspect has kicked victim’s vehicles left wing mirror back.

February 19, Butt Lane: Suspect has kicked the left wing mirror of victim’s vehicle causing no damage.

Attempted criminal damage.

February 15, Butt Lane: Suspect named has poured brown liquid over victim’s vehicle causing no damage.

March 3, Butt Lane: Suspect has kicked the left wing mirror of victim’s car causing it to be bent back and the mirror smashed.

MAYLAND

February 25, The Spinnaker: Suspect unknown has scattered around 30 to 40 thumb tacks around the tyres and underneath victim’s car a black Ford Mondeo.

March 2, The Drive: Suspects unknown have removed the spare wheel from underneath the victims silver Hyundai Santa Fe by unknown means.

March 2, Fels Way: Suspect unknown gained entry by means unknown to victim’s vehicle and stole tools whilst it was parked at location overnight.

PURLEIGH

February 26, Hackmans Lane: Suspect unknown has broken into victim’s garage by jemmying the door with item unknown.

Suspect has then entered the garage and stole garden tools and construction tools.

WICKHAM BISHOPS

February 26, The Causeway: Suspect unknown has attempted to gain entry to the victims secure barn by damaging the lock and barn door by means unknown.
