A community raised almost £2,000 for its village hall at its annual Christmas fair.
North Fambridge residents gathered at the village hall for the annual fayre on December 1, when a host of stalls were available, as well as a raffle, tombola and a range of prizes to be won.
Big-hearted businesses throughout the area kindly donated to the cause, which was raising money for the village hall and the church’ charities.
A spokesman for the event said: “Thank you to our village hall committee for all their hard work, planning and behind the scenes, many of their families were on board to help and a big thank you to our villagers for coming along and supporting the event.”
A total of £1,850 was raised which is being split between the village hall and the church.
