A PARISH council had to carry out urgent maintenance to fill in holes on public footpaths after a suspected rabbit warren caved in.
Wickham Bishops’ footpath volunteers were kept busy on Footpath 22 after reports came in of a number of holes opening up.
All the holes were filled by lunchtime the same day.
A spokesman said: “With the ground so soft due to the frequent rain, we think it was a collapsed rabbit warren.
“Please be careful when out and about and let us know of any concerns.”
