A MARTIAL arts class is being axed due to low attendance levels.
Maldon and Dengie Bagua, which runs sessions of Baguazhang in Maldon and Steeple, will be stopping its Maldon classes which were being held on Friday afternoons.
Teacher Malcolm Davy-Barnes said: “Although there has been quite a bit of interest, unfortunately there hasn’t been the folks attending to make it sustainable over the months. It may be the timing isn’t right.”
Mr Davy-Barnes added: “I would like try again, to share this wonderful art, maybe next year.
“I will be at the West Maldon Community Centre, meanwhile, on October 25 and the November 1, 15, and 22 using the hall to train in, and people are welcome to come along and have a free lesson.”
Classes will still run in Steeple on Thursday evenings.
