THE biggest event in our district arrives this Sunday.
The Maldon Mud Race has always been known for bringing out some of the most energetic and good-spirited entertainment throughout all of Essex.
In this edition, the Standard brings you stories of a team of pupils diving into the mud to raise funds for their own teacher’s charity, along with the Maldon Young Farmers taking on the challenge dressed as cows, in what is predicted to be scorching heat.
These teams show the best of what the Maldon district’s people can offer, willing to get down and dirty for causes they truly believe in, and they’re just a drop in the ocean of the amazing efforts that will be on display in the mud of the River Blackwater on Sunday.
