BEDTIME stories were read to children who stayed behind after school for some literary fun.
The Ladybird and Bumblebee classes at Maylandsea Primary School wore their pyjamas and snuggled-up on cushions to listen to the tales.
Teachers Miss Ward and Mrs Moody also changed into their nightwear for the event marking World Book Day.
Miss Ward said: "The children were excited and very keen to share a story with their friends.
"It's encouraged lots of talking about stories in the classroom."
The event, which was organised by the teachers, also gave children the opportunity to vote for their favourite stories.
