A MALDON firm has been given the royal stamp of approval in a year it also celebrates a significant milestone in its existence.
Maldon Crystal Salt Company, which has been producing its famous salt crystals from the banks of the River Blackwater since 1882, was granted the prestigious Royal Warrant of Appointment to Her Majesty The Queen earlier this week.
Royal Warrants are held by about 850 British businesses who have regularly supplied goods or services for a minimum of five consecutive years to the Queen, Duke of Edinburgh or Prince of Wales.
Maldon Crystal Salt Company’s announcement comes as the business, which is one of just four original salt manufacturers in the country, also celebrate its 130 year anniversary.
