WIND farm protesters have asked police to investigate claims an energy company destroyed a badger sett.
Anti-wind farm group Bradwell and Tillingham Tackling Lost Environment (Battle) has accused Npower Renewables of ploughing through the protected species’ habitat during the building of an access road to a ten-turbine wind farm at Hockley Farm, Bradwell.
Photographs taken by a Battle member appear to show a badger sett near to the farm exposed and destroyed.
Gordon Pirret, chairman of Battle, said the group’s lawyers had advised that the incident be reported to Essex Police wildlife officer Andrew Long.
