THEIR mum was murdered 35 years ago but three children are still waiting for police to catch her killer.
Christopher, Sarah and Emma were just 12, ten and seven when their mum, Josephine Backshall, went missing after leaving her home in Maldon and travelling to Witham.
Her body was found strangled less than three days later in a field near Bishop’s Stortford.
Police have launched an anniversary appeal to unravel the mystery surrounding the murder of the 39-year-old catholic wife and mother who lived an ordinary life in an ordinary neighbourhood but whose family were left devastated - and who now need your help to be able to finally put her to rest.
