MORE than 40 young ballet dancers from across Southend and Castle Point have spent their Easter holidays practising their pirouettes after being chosen to perform in a prestigious show.

The dancers, aged eight to 18, will all appear in the English Youth Ballet’s production of Giselle at Westcliff’s Cliffs Pavilion in May.

Rehearsals for the show, which tells the story of a young girl called Giselle who is betrayed by the unfaithful Prince Albert, are taking place at King John School, Thundersley.
