DRIVERS in parts of Millfields, Burnham, could face new no-waiting restrictions.

Chelmsford Council has published notice of the changes on behalf of the South Essex Parking Partnership.

The proposal would remove existing “No Waiting at Any Time” restrictions on Millfields and add them to sections of the road serving Dengie Hundred Sports Centre.

The restrictions would cover both sides of several road sections, measured from the Station Road junction.

On the north-west side, restrictions would cover 71 metres from the junction, plus a further 36 metres starting 91 metres from it.

Another section would start 199 metres from the junction, run south-westwards and then continue westwards for 51 metres.

The north side would then have restrictions for 30 metres from a point 266 metres south-west of Station Road.

The north and west sides would also have restrictions for 104 metres from a point 360 metres south-west of the junction, running south-westwards.

The south-east, south and east sides would have restrictions from Station Road for 400 metres, running south-westwards, westwards and southwards.

A final section on the east side would run for 30 metres from a point 426 metres south-west of the junction.

The notice was published on October 29.
