Lefties second UK store at Lakeside a 'significant moment'

Lefties, a fashion retailer, has opened its doors at Lakeside Shopping Centre, becoming its second UK location and first in the south of England.

Robert Jewell, managing director of asset management at Pradera, which manages Lakeside, said the opening is a significant moment for the next era of the shopping centre.

He said: "The opening of Lefties is a significant moment for Lakeside, and marks the next chapter in its evolution as a super-regional.

"The calibre of brands that the destination continues to attract is testament to the strategic leasing momentum that we have generated over the past few years, and this shows no sign of slowing down, with many more exciting signings on the horizon.

"With Lefties on board, Lakeside is well and truly on the map as the key lifestyle destination within the region, and a key player amongst the top super-regionals in the country."

The store, which opened on October 29, is located on Level 2 in the Central Atrium and offers a full range of womenswear, menswear, childrenswear, and home collections.

It also features Lefties’ latest retail technology, including assisted checkouts, smart fitting rooms, and automated garment sorting systems.

Known for its affordable prices and broad product range, Lefties is often compared to Primark as the brand focuses on offering timeless basics that can be mixed and matched with seasonal trends.

The retailer made its UK debut at Liverpool One in August.

Lakeside’s centre director Nancy Foster said: "Lefties is one of the most exciting fashion arrivals of the year, and we’re proud that Lakeside is home to its first store in the South.

The opening of Lefties is part of a wider trend of major brands investing in Lakeside, with recent arrivals including Hollister, Urban Outfitters, and Space NK.

The brand focuses on inclusivity and offers timeless basics alongside seasonal trends.

Shoppers can also explore the Lefties HOME collection, which includes textiles, décor, fragrances, and home accessories.
