A major retailer will close one of its Essex stores from tomorrow after eight years of serving customers.
Marks & Spencer (M&S) in Arthur Ransome Way, Walton-on-the-Naze, opened in 2018 selling high-quality groceries, premium ready meals, fresh produce and specialty items.
But back in May, company bosses confirmed the shop will close for good tomorrow.
It will be closing on tomorrow, September 26, and focussing on its store in Clacton Brook Retail Park.
When the shop first opened, it created 50 jobs, and it is understood that those roles will be made redundant as a result of the closure.

M&S says they are conversing with colleagues and are "working hard to redeploy as many colleagues to nearby stores as possible."
Will Holden, regional manager at M&S, previously said: "I’d like to thank everyone who has shopped with us at the store over the years and we will continue working hard to serve you over the coming months, and in future at our nearby Clacton Brook Park food hall.”
The news of the closure has saddened residents of the coastal town, who even started a petition to keep the store open.
Thousands of people signed the petition, but M&S bosses have confirmed their decision to close.
