Motorists are being urged to find alternative routes after a police incident led to the closure of a road on Canvey.
According to Essex Highways, the blockage is affecting the A130 Long Road between Thorney Bay Road and Canvey High Street, with the route closed in both directions.
The closure is causing disruption for drivers travelling through the area, with delays likely on surrounding roads as traffic is diverted.
Police have not yet released further details about the nature of the incident.
Essex Police has been contacted for comment.
