A MAN who was last seen leaving his home with a suitcase was found unresponsive at a hotel in Marks Tey, an inquest heard.
John McCormack, 42, had been reported as missing last month and Essex Police put out an appeal to the public for information about his whereabouts on Saturday, August 25.
Opening an inquest into Mr McCormack’s death, coroner Michelle Brown said Mr McCormack was found at the Marks Tey Hotel later that day.
She said: “An ambulance was called, paramedics arrived, and his death was confirmed at 12.43am.
“Police confirmed no suspicious circumstances and identification was confirmed by his partner.”
A provisional cause of death was given as hanging. Toxicology reports are still being prepared.
Mrs Brown adjourned the inquest, which will be reopened at a later date.
