A CHANNEL 4 star and podcaster will visit Maldon for a special live event next month.
Comedian and author Adam Buxton will appear at Maldon United Reformed Church in Market Hill on October 15, when he will discuss his books and career with fans.
Maldon Books is organising the evening, which is due to begin at 7pm. Doors will open at 6.45pm, and the event will end with a book-signing session. Tickets cost £7 per person.
Mr Buxton is known for the Adam Buxton Podcast, alongside his work in television, radio and comedy. Alongside filmmaker Joe Cornish, he presented the Channel 4 series The Adam and Joe Show, in the late 1990s.
During the event, he will discuss his memoirs I Love You, Byeee: Rambles on DIY TV, Rockstars, Kids and Mums, and Ramble Book: Musings on Childhood, Friendship, Family and 80s Pop Culture.
A book signing will follow the event. Anyone who cannot attend the event but would like to order a signed copy is asked to email maldonbooksltd@gmail.com
Maldon Books has built a programme of literary events bringing authors and other personalities to Maldon.
On October 29, they will be joined by bestselling authors Ross Montgomery and Tom Hindle. Harry Whittaker, son of author Lucinda Riley, will appear at the United Reformed Church on November 18.
The church has no on-site parking. Nearby car parks are available at Butt Lane and White Horse Lane.
