Sound Collective choir performs at Maldon charity concert

The Sound Collective performed the concert at the amphitheatre in Maldon Promenade Park on Sunday to raise money for Action for Family Carers.

Led by musical director Emma Durrant, the concert brought together singers, families and members of the community for an afternoon of music and entertainment.

A sea shanty expert also hosted a sea shanty workshop, encouraging audiences to sing along and join in.

Maldon Promenade Park is also hosting its own Sea Shanty Festival next weekend.

The Sound Collective is formed of singers of all ages and backgrounds.

They are now preparing to start a new choir term with new songs and performances, and are welcoming new members.

The choir holds sessions in Maldon, Tiptree, Chelmsford, Danbury, and Ingatestone, and is known for its inclusive approach to singing and community events.
