COMMUNITY members who are passionate about making a difference are encouraged to apply as a candidate for Maldon Town Council.

There is currently a vacancy in the South ward following the resignation of Chioma Cureton.

The position will be filled by co-option after no by-election was called.

The successful candidate will serve until May 2027 and help make important decisions about the future of Maldon.

People from all backgrounds and experiences are encouraged to apply.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old, and must either live, work or be a registered voter in the parish.

Town councillors attend meetings, help with community projects and events, and represent residents’ interests.

No specific qualifications or experience are required.
