ESSEX Police are inviting residents to join them for an event in Mundon where residents can share concerns and officers can offer crime prevention advice.

Maldon district residents are invited to join Essex Police for a Let’s Talk Event at Victory Hall in Mundon Road in Mundon on Monday March 16 between 7pm and 8pm.

The force said this is a great opportunity to meet the policing team, share any concerns, and hear more about the work they are doing to keep our communities safe.

As part of the event, officers will be offering crime prevention advice from how to take simple steps to protect yourself and your property and to keeping valuables out of sight in vehicles.

There will further tips on how make sure doors and windows are secure and on how to be alert to scams or suspicious activity.

The event may be cancelled at short notice due to operational reasons, but the police will do their best to keep the community informed about any changes.

People are also invited along to have a chat or ask any questions, with the force saying by working together, the community and police can make the wider Maldon district a safer place.
