POLICE are urging the public to watch out for stolen items of jewellery being sold online or in person after an Essex celebrity’s mother’s Maldon home was broken into.
On Tuesday, the Essex cleaning influencer and bestselling author Sophie Hinchliffe - known as Mrs Hinch - posted on Instagram saying her parents’ home in Maldon had been burgled.
Mrs Hinch, who has 4.8millon followers on Instagram, said sentimental and irreplaceable pieces had been stolen.
These include items which belonged to Mrs Hinch’s late father Alan, who died almost two years ago.

Essex Police said a number of suspects forced entry into the home between 11.30am and 6.30pm, stealing several items of jewellery.
At this stage, no arrests have been made and Essex Police are pursuing a number of targeted forensic, CCTV, and investigative opportunities.
The force has now released images of the jewellery taken in the burglary and are urging the public to please watch out for these items being sold either online or in person.

Acting Detective Inspector Dan Smith said: “This incident has had a significant impact on the victim and her family and that is not lost on us.
“We’re working through a number of lines of enquiry to identify the people responsible.
“There will be a policing presence in the area today as officers carry out house-to-house checks and I would also encourage anyone who witnessed any suspicious behaviour or has dashcam or doorbell footage of the area within the time period to please come forward.”
