Sentencing for a man who supplied class A drugs has been adjourned again while he seeks legal representation.
Ebou Njie, 59, of Chequers Lane, Maldon appeared in Chelmsford Crown Court on Tuesday after admitting charges of being concerned in the supply of and possession of class A drugs.
After Njie appeared in the courtroom representing himself, Jerry Hayes, prosecuting, said he was reluctant to proceed with sentencing when the defendant had not received legal advice.
The court heard Njue will also appear before a jury.
“It is just going to be a bit of a nightmare,” Mr Hayes said.
“It would be sensible if this could all be dealt with in one go.”

Speaking to Njie, Recorder Richard Granby said: “Ultimately, we can’t wait forever for you to find a solicitor.
“It seems to me I should give one more chance for that, but it is going to be the last chance.
“If I were you, I would wear out the rubber on my shoes knocking on the door of every solicitor in the East of England.
“That is what you should do day and night between now and the next hearing.”
Njie has six weeks to find representation before the sentencing hearing at Chelmsford Crown Court on March 10.
