David Wilson Homes has a development of what will be 310 homes within seven phases called Corinthian Place in Pointel Street off Maldon Road in Burnham.
The developer - which donated £1.3m to the area in 2025 - has been creating safe spaces for wildlife, planting different types of greenery in the area and implementing energy-saving features in the homes.
Corinthian Place is surrounded by more than 15 acres of green, open space with new tree lines being designed to invite wildlife in the area and to provide a view.
The developer has installed bird and bat boxes, hedgehog highways and swift bricks around the development, alongside an attenuation basin, a dark wildlife corridor and parkland area.
Selected homes will have solar panels and electric car charging points to contribute to a greener way of living.
Will Phair, sales director at David Wilson Homes Eastern Counties, said: “We are dedicated to making our developments as energy efficient and wildlife friendly as possible and Corinthian Place is certainly no exception.
“With the initiatives implemented, we plan to make our homes as cheap to run as possible, all whilst giving nature a home, to ensure our future is as green as it can be.”
