Essex police officers investigated individuals they believed were part of a hare coursing group.
The Rural Engagement Team patrolled rural areas of Maldon yesterday, dealing with individuals involved in hare coursing.
They also seized a vehicle that was being driven without insurance.
Their presence provided high‑visibility policing across rural locations to help deter criminal activity.
The Maldon Town Team were also out on patrol, focusing on speeding, drug or drink driving, using a mobile phone while driving, and failing to wear a seatbelt.
Local residents in Great Totham were very pleased with their presence efforts to reduce road traffic collisions in their area.
