Officers dealt with 20 vehicles in a single day of patrols focusing on roads offences.
On Thursday, officers from the Maldon Town Team and Rural Engagement Team were actively patrolling Stow Maries, Southminster and Burnham areas.
The primary focus was to address the Fatal Four offences which are the most common causes of serious road traffic collisions, which are speeding; drink or drug driving; driving without a seatbelt; and driving while using a mobile phone.
Officers were also proactively working to detect and deter other forms of criminality and anti-social behaviour during the patrols.
