Emergency services attended a “serious crash” on a town centre High Street.
Maldon High Street was blocked in both directions between Butt Lane and Wantz Road after a serious crash shortly before 1pm.
An Essex Police spokesperson said: "We’re working alongside emergency services colleagues at the scene of a collision in Maldon High Street which involves a vehicle and a pedestrian."
The spokesperson added their injuries are not being treated as life-threatening or life-changing.
Congestion was building in the town due to the incident, but Essex Highways reports the route is now clear.
