A mother and daughter duo have made a significant impact on the Essex food scene since launching their dessert van last month.
Jo and Meade, the team behind Meade’s Coffee and Dessert Van, have taken Althorne and St Lawrence by storm with their unique menu.
Their offerings range from waffle sticks to customised crumbles, and the van has become a favourite among residents.

The waffle sticks come in nine different flavours, including The Smart One, which is sprinkled with smarties, the Dubai Waffle, topped with pistachios, dates and chocolate drizzle, the pastel-coloured and sprinkle-covered Unicorn and The Ambassador, which is covered in chocolate and hazelnut.
The van also serves hot cookie dough in three different flavours, topped with ice cream.
The duo has also introduced a Build Your Own Crumble option.
Jo and Meade said: "When it comes to crumble, no one ever likes it the same way.

"We have a big family – some like more fruit, others like extra crumble, and some even prefer the crumble on top of the custard.
"So, when it came to designing our menu, we thought, 'Why not let everyone make it just how they like it?' And that’s how the 'Build Your Own Crumble' was born.
"It’s safe to say the idea was a hit. Customers are gleefully crafting their perfect puds – complete with warm fillings, crunchy toppings, and lashings of hot custard or ice cream. It’s nostalgic, it’s personal, and it’s just what The Dengie ordered."
Despite only opening in October, the van is already fully booked for Christmas events, private parties, and corporate functions across the county until Easter.
The duo are regulars at Althorne Park every Friday evening and St Lawrence Jubilee Park on the first Sunday of every month.

Jo and Meade said: "Meade’s Friday nights at Althorne Park have become so popular that some locals have turned up in their pyjamas.
"Whether it’s a post-dinner treat, a cosy evening out, or simply because they couldn’t wait to get their crumble fix, pyjama-clad customers are proving that delicious desserts know no dress code."
