PROMENADE Park in Maldon is due to host its first-ever Christmas market.

The market, organised by Maldon District Council, will run from 10am to 4pm at the amphitheatre on Sunday, November 30.

Shoppers can visit a wide range of stalls, offering food, drink, and entertainment throughout the day.

There will also be performances from choirs, musicians and community groups.

The event is free to attend and is suitable for people of all ages.

Councillor Richard Siddall, leader of Maldon District Council, said: "I hope this new event will bring the community together to celebrate the start of the festive season and bring residents and visitors to the Town to support our local traders and performers."

The market is part-funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, which invests in communities around the country.

Anyone interested in having a stall should contact the council's event partners at info@colchester-events.co.uk.
