AN Essex band will perform a special concert in Maldon to raise money for people with brain tumours.
Folk-rock group Shades of Simon will be playing at the Maldon Town Hall theatre on Saturday, November 1.
Their show, The Paul Simon Story, is a tribute to the famous singer-songwriter.
Their set will include songs from Simon & Garfunkel's 1960s classics and hits from Simon's solo career in the 1980s.
The concert will be introduced by John Driver, mayor of Maldon Town Council.
The performance will raise money for the Brain Tumour Charity, in honour of the band's friend singer-songwriter Dee Hepburn, who died from a brain tumour in 2020.
Other band members have also recently had friends and family affected by the disease.
Almost all proceeds from the event will go to the charity, thanks to the musicians, technicians, support crew, PA hire company and bar providers all waiving their fees.
Sonja Bateup, the Brain Tumour Charity's regional representative, will be in attendance and happy to answer any questions.

Tickets are priced at £22.50.
The band previously raised around £2,500 with a similar concert, and this time hope to raise £5,000.
