A COMMUNITY favourite event is taking place in Maldon this Sunday following its "huge success" last year.
The Maldon car show is supported by a number of companies and businesses in the area, including Borough Flooring and The Good Life Tattoo Parlour in the high street.
The popular event is free to attend, displaying 500 cars, including 20 Ferraris, in an effort to raise funds for Maldon Mud Race charities across the county.
The car show will take place at Maldon Promenade Park on Sunday, from 11pm to 4 pm.
Head of the organising committee, Brian Farrington, said: "Events like this cost a huge amount to deliver with today’s requirements around insurances and safety and we are grateful to Maldon District Council for their support.
"The event was a huge success last year and without our sponsors and supporters it would be difficult to deliver such a professional event.
“We hope to see a huge crowd of spectators enjoying the incredible cars on show and we are so grateful to the many owners, car clubs and trade stands who have made this event possible.

"The community team at Tesco, headed by Community Champion Rhiain Oakley, are huge supporters and supplied a great raffle so please grab a ticket and bacon roll from Tesco.
"Of course, the icing on the cake are the many fabulous cars including 20 Ferraris from the Ferrari Club of Great Britain plus many other great car clubs including Mini, Stag, Mercedes, Jaguar and vintage vehicles from Lodges Coaches.
“We have a great stage line-up with Nikki and the Switchblades, Soul legend Irie Jay, 11 year old Andy.Rocks.Guitar and local band Mains ‘haul.”
Stands from Foulkes Electrical, Solitaire Group Heating and Plumbing will feature at the event, as well as GSM Motor Mechanics, Heating Oil Today,, FCJ Transport, Plume Academy, Events Factor and Maldon & Burnham Football Club.
The team from Essex based Icanvalet.com will also attend selling car care products.
