A COUNTY-WIDE clean-up scheme is heading to Maldon in a mission to bring communities together.

Essex property group Beresfords is inviting residents and businesses to take part in its latest Communitea clean-up event, part of the wider Propertea campaign.

The initiative encourages people to help keep towns cleaner and take pride in community spaces.

The Maldon clean-up will take place on Thursday, August 28, starting at 3pm outside All Saints Church on High Street.

Paul Beresford, chief executive of Beresfords Group, said: "We’re proud to continue with our Communitea initiative across Essex, helping local people make their mark through simple efforts that collectively drive big change.

"Communitea isn’t just about picking up litter – it’s about showing pride in where we live and building stronger community connections.

"We’re extending a warm welcome to everyone in Maldon to join us, make a difference, and share a cuppa afterwards."

Volunteers will be provided with all necessary equipment..

Previous events in Brentwood, Colchester, Chelmsford, Billericay and Upminster saw 59 volunteers collect 64 bags of rubbish.

At the end of each event, participants are invited to enjoy tea, biscuits and informal networking.

To register to take part, email the Beresfords team at t.booley@beresfords.co.uk.
