THE much-loved Maldon Food & Drink Festival is set to return to Promenade Park this August bank holiday weekend, promising two days of culinary delights by the river.
Taking place on Sunday 24th and Monday 25th August from 11am to 6pm both days, the festival has established itself as one of Essex's favourite summer events, drawing food lovers and families from across the region.
Visitors can expect an impressive array of street food from around the world, alongside artisan cheeses, local produce, and craft beer, cider and gin bars.
The festival caters to all dietary requirements with dedicated vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and halal options available throughout the weekend.
Entertainment comes in the form of live music all day, kids' rides and family activities, plus craft and gift stalls for those looking to browse and shop.
A highlight of this year's programme is celebrity TV chef John Paul Alberti, who will take to the main stage both days with interactive cooking demonstrations, bringing his culinary expertise directly to festival-goers.
Alberti is a globally recognised TV chef, cookbook author, and food personality, best known as one half of the internationally celebrated The Alberti Twins.
He first rose to fame on Love Island Season 1 and has since built a dynamic career combining culinary expertise with natural on-screen charisma.
For the more adventurous, the festival's notorious Chilli Pepper Eating Contest returns, starting at 1pm on both days.
Only the brave need apply for this fiery challenge, with applications accepted on the day or via the website.
Entry is £8 per adult, with under-16s enjoying free admission. Disabled visitors and their carers also receive complimentary entry with appropriate ID. The venue offers easy access and plenty of parking, ensuring a comfortable experience for all attendees.
