“I’ve put in a lot of effort, tried to do as much as I could. I look at this and I knew I would be happy whatever the outcome because I put the effort in.
“I found being in the exams to be the most difficult part, it was nerve-racking.”
Fred achieved 2 grade 9s, 1 Distinction*, 6 grade 8s, 1 grade 7, 1 grade 6.
Isabella Olenka, 16 said: “I’m quite pleased with my results, I did better in some of the subjects than I thought. I had a lot of support from my family.
“Procrastination because I'm quite overthinker and a bit of a perfectionist, so I worry whether I'll do well enough in what I'll actually do.
“One thing that my parents always remind me is worry about what you can control and don't worry about what the car control, that will make life a lot easier. Not just with school but in life.
Isabella achieved a Level 2* in Child development, 6 in history and a 6 in maths.
Alice Everett, 16 said: “I'm really happy, it’s been hard to have to wait and last night was the most stressful part. I’m happy now I know what I’ve got.”
Alice achieved a 9 in PE, 8 in Art and 7 in sociology.
Mr Baster and Mrs Clark, the Joint Heads of Academy, said: “We are delighted to be able to celebrate the achievements of this year group.
"As a cohort they have worked extremely hard to secure the grades they deserve whilst demonstrating their resilience and determination throughout their time at the academy.
"We are thrilled to be able to recognise and celebrate their individual achievements today.
"We are also incredibly proud of the young people they have grown in to during their time at Plume Academy – they are a wonderful year group, and we wish them all the very best in their future endeavours”.
