A man has been charged as part of an investigation into the theft of more than £6,000 worth of items from John Lewis.
An investigation was launched on July 20 following reports that someone had entered the John Lewis store on Bond Street in Chelmsford and stole around £750 worth of items.
A further four offences were reported from the same store with the most recent offence reported on Thursday, August 15.
On Friday, August 16, officers arrested a man in connection with this investigation.
Nathan Wadsworth, 36 of Crown Lane, Bromley has since been charged with five counts of theft from a shop.
He has been remanded into custody and will appear at Chelmsford Magistrates Court on Monday, 19 August.
