A LONG-STANDING art trail has received a grant from Maldon District Council.

The council have supported the Burnham Art Trail by providing a grant of £600 from their small Arts Fund.

February 16 marked the deadline for applications concerning the 2024 Burnham Art Trail.

Councillor Vanessa Bell, ward member for Burnham South, said: "Supporting initiatives like the Art Trail is integral to our commitment to enriching the cultural landscape of our district. 

“Not only does this initiative showcase the incredible talent of our local artists, but it also provides residents and visitors alike with an immersive cultural experience."

The trail is anticipated to attract visitors from near and far while aiming to highlight a hub for creativity and cultural vitality. 

A council spokesman said: “By supporting initiatives like the Burnham Art Trail, Maldon District Council demonstrates its dedication to promoting cultural enrichment and ensuring a vibrant future for the district.”
