PLANS for the demolition of existing stables have been submitted to Maldon District Council.
The proposed site is situated at 514 Moorhaven Avenue, St Lawrence in Southminster.
If approved, the existing stables would give way to the construction of an ancillary annex.
An application form for the planned development describes it as “self build and custom build”.
In addition, the application form also reveals proposed changes to the building’s materials and finishes.
The plans outline using cladding render for the doors in place of the existing timber, as well as single ply membrane tiles instead of the current felt.
uPVC has been proposed for the building’s doors and windows.
Altogether, the site is approximately 1,250 square metres and is currently being used as a storage outbuilding.
Maldon District Council will have the final say on the plans.
