A singer from a village in the Maldon district is set to release a new song that was originally demoed 12 years ago.
Julian May, from Tillingham, will be releasing a pop song entitled Everywhere I Go.
The song originally started as a demo track in 2012 and is now finally being released as a finished single on March 11.
Julian has joined forces with music producer Alex Southgate to make the final version of the track.
The new release is performed by Julian with Phil Langstone on bass guitar.
Julian said: "The song was originally written by Brentwood songwriters Graham Harris and Michael Harrington.
"This was first put out as a fundraising song for the then-local radio station, Saint FM, which used to broadcast out of Burnham-on-Crouch and Maldon.
"The song was referred to as The Song for Saint, but its official title is 'Everywhere I Go'.
"Lyrically the song has nothing to do with radio but is about someone searching for that mystery love interest."
The demo was released to raise much-needed financial support for Saint FM.
