PLANS have been submitted to demolish an “outdated” bungalow and outbuildings in Maldon.
The application to Maldon District Council seeks to replace the buildings with four new bungalows at the Alberta site, off Spital Road.
A detached bungalow, garage, outbuildings and other structures would be demolished.
Four new bungalows would be built in a courtyard layout.
The proposed development is close to Cedar Cottage, a Grade II listed building with origins dating back to at least the 17th Century.
The developers say the new properties would be suitable as starter homes or for people wanting to downsize.
Maldon District Council will rule on the plans.
