A CARE home which can support up to 24 people has been put up for sale with a £1million price tag.

The Lodge, in Dykes Chase, cares for residents who suffer with dementia or are physically frail.

The facility has been listed on Rightmove with an asking price of £1,450,000.

The listing also highlights the site's key features, such as it is a detached, Grade II listed building and the facility is on a 0.51 acre plot.

In February 2022, The Lodge was rated 'Good' across five categories in a CQC inspection - these were safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led.

This is the second highest possible rating, described on the CQC's website as "performing well and meeting our expectations”.

There were 20 people using the service at the time of the inspection.

The inspector wrote in their report: "Staff had built positive relationships with people living in the service. There was a relaxed atmosphere between people and staff.

"Care plans were person centred and included guidance for staff in how people wanted to be supported. A range of activities were available for people to take part in."

The Lodge was approached for comment about the sale.
