AN author from Maldon who has published a string of successful books has released his latest work.
Patrick Forsyth's new book is a departure from his previous work.
He is best known for his mystery and crime novels, but has now released a “brain-teasing" puzzle book.
Patrick worked with Trevor Peters, who has a lifetime’s teaching experience, to produce the book as a joint project.
The new book, titled ‘A Bit Tricky’ includes a mix of puzzles, brainteasers, quirky facts and riddles, which can be solved alone or with friends or family members.
The writers hope their new book will make an ideal stocking filler.
Patrick said: “All the problems included were tried out on kids and all proved to engage and fascinate them.
"Our testing also led us to put ‘For kids from nine to 99’ on the cover as many of the entries also left adults a bit puzzled for a while.
“Many of the conundrums involve words or numbers, and sometimes both, and with many there is a trick that must be discovered to make solving them possible.”
A Bit Tricky can be bought from Maldon Books, priced £6.99.
