A MAN from Maldon has been confirmed dead after being found in his car in a water-filled ditch.
On Sunday, October 22, at about 7.30pm, a body was discovered in a silver Ford Focus in Byall Fen Drove, Manea.
The emergency services were called to the scene before a man was pronounced dead.
Police officers have named the man as John Hayden, 36, from Maldon.
Anyone with information relating to the incident or anyone who believes they have any footage leading up to it is being asked to contact the Cambridgeshire Police.
A spokesman for Cambridgeshire Police said: “Officers and paramedics attended, but Mr Hayden, of London Road, Maldon, Essex, was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have dashcam footage of the moments leading up to it, should contact the road policing unit via webchat or by calling 101, quoting incident 457 of 22 October.”
