A FASHION show hosted by a charity shop to highlight sustainable fashion was a “huge success”.

The Farleigh Hospice fashion show hosted at the clearance warehouse in Maldon raised more than £1,000 for the charity.

More than 100 people were in attendance at the show which saw models styled in charity shop items.

Organisers said it was a great evening and staff were proud of staging such a successful event.

Assistant manager and event coordinator Sarah-Jane Oakenfull said: “The fashion show we hosted at the Farleigh Hospice clearance warehouse in Maldon was a huge success.

“We had more than hundred local people attend and support. We raised in excess of £1,000 and had some amazing feedback.

“The warehouse was completely transformed, looking fabulous but the star of the show had to be all the fantastic models who were as diverse as they were beautiful.

“We got to showcase our brilliant ecological fashion and wedding/occasion wear as well as make some money for our charity.

"It was an inclusive, fun and successful evening.

“We are incredibly proud of our team at the warehouse and extremely grateful to all that donated raffle prizes, refreshments and the flower wall.

“In answer to one of the above questions about when our next event will be…watch this space.”
